Re: EuroLeague Women Transactions 2011-12
Impressive party today in Salamanca with the European champions! And all national media have given great importance to them! This is amazing!
But here we think that Sancho, Torrens, de Mondt, Silvia Domínguez, Snell and Isa Sánchez will leave the team. I hope we can make a good contract for some of them.

Fenerbahce offical web site say that all Alba Torrens news is not true.

I think it´s impossible! I think Ros Casares can´t pay Taurasi the huge amount of money that she wants.

Money is not important for Taurasi
Fenerbahce offered Taurasi after she was cleared 700.00 dollar for only 10 Turkish league games, but she said no to this bid.

Money might not be the only consideration for Taurasi concerning playing again in Turkey but for any WNBA player, playing overseas is about money and I'm sure the Spanish and Russian powerhouses will try to get her the more appealing contract. I wouldn't be surprised if Ekat go for her, I doubt Sparta&K has enough to compete moneywise.

Re: EuroLeague Women Transactions 2011-12
Without wanting to hijack the thread into something about Taurasi and players who may or may not want to move purely because of money, surely it is easier when you are the biggest star not to take the most lucrative.
By that, I mean a player at the lower end of the spectrum will probably have to (out of neccessity) go for the best deal. Surely, if you are DT, getting XXXXXXX dollars a year at 2 or 3 clubs who can pay it means you can be choosy. It might also mean that clubs (maybe like a Ros) below that, come into the mix if the money is not as good but still attractive but the situation is better.
For sure someone will tell me it is all about the numbers only. It's just I don't really believe it. In everyday life, I could double my salary working in London for example but I mean please. Who would want to live there?
You get my drift

I think Spain would quite suit Diana although imagine being the new leader at UMMC
We will see.
I think it promises to be a fascinating summer - also in seeing if there are any big coaching changes too

Wisła Kraków re-signed coaches: Jose Ignacio Hernandez and Jordi Aragones
Wisła wants to stay for next season: Paulina Pawlak, Ewelina Kobryn i Katarzyna Krężel,Magda Leciejewska and foreign stars: Erin Phillips, Nicole Powell and Yelena Leuchanka.
Gunta Basko and Andja Jelavic probably leave Krakow.

I don't think Torrens can sign anything technically, yet. She's still under contract for a little while with Halcon Avenida. She might have agreed to a contract but I don't expect anything signed while she's playing for Avenida in Spanish league playoffs.

Hard to believe. As I posted earlier - someone who contacts her fairly often said she's staying with Fener.

If that's the case than Fenerbahce is screwed. Without McCoughtry/Taurasi/Taylor their only chance to be among elite is if they get Maya Moore.

Korstin------------>Avenida.
Wauters totally believable - if I remember correctly she was heavily rumored to go there last season, despite her age she's still one of the best in Europe in her position.
Lyttle wouldn't surprise me if she stayed.
I'm not a big fan of Korstin, the only thing she can do consistently is rebound well for her size and that's about it, so I hope Avenida will get some other guard who can shoot so that opponents don't collapse on de Souza and Lyttle.
