If Tarbes are in the EuroLeague women next season then you can add Pauline Salagnac (from Bourges Basket) as a new signing. Also Pascal Pisan will be the new coach, Alain Jardel has retired. (All confirmed by the local press - the website of the club is under reconstruction again and is not current).


PS: As Tarbes finished behind Challes-les-Eaux during the regular season, we have to wait for the French Federation to confirm if they will allow Challes-les-Eaux to play in the EuroLeague. Last season Arras was refused and Mondeville was given the place.

2. League Regular season leader (Halcon Avenida)
3. League runner-up (Ros Casares)
4. Copa de la Reina winner (Rivas Ecopolis)
5. Third place team (Mann Filter)
6. Fourth place team (Rivas Ecopolis)
7. ....

So Rivas is essentially third team out of Spain.

I don't remember Estonian and Belorussian club teams doing anything noteworthy during the last 3 seasons to warrant an EuroLeague spot.

Tarbes are not second in France - Challes-les-Eaux finished second during the regular season. In France the winner of the regular season and the winner of the LFB play-off are allocated a spot in the EuroLeague provided France has two spots. In this case Bourges Basket won both.

Now if France gets a second automatic spot then it is given to the second team during the regular season which is Challes-les-Eaux. However the FFBB have a criteria that each club must meet. If France get a third spot then then it will be offered to the third placed team which is Tarbes.

So for the moment only Bourges Basket is confirmed from France for next season in this competition.

Each Federation has it own rules and the number of places allocated to each league is determined by FIBA Europe 3 year rolling ranking system.

So it is difficult to determine how many teams will qualify from each Federation.

I am afraid not: For the first two season's of the 24 format team of EuroLeague France was guaranteed 4 spots in the competition. So the FFBB offered the place to the Cup Winners. This is not the case today, the French cup winners if not already qualified for the EuroLeague are entered into the EuroCup.
