A little bit of rumor - a Spanish team is very interested in bringing in Lauren Jackson for the next season. If Erika is returning to Salamanca my gut tells me that that team is Ros Casares.

Well, it is possible, but why can not Avenida? I think Belinda Snell will leave the team and probably Sancho Lyttle, so maybe they could fight for Lauren Jackson. However, I think it´s a lot of money for Salamanca.

Because I can't remember a team that used it's two non-European player slots for two post players in Euroleague. Usually it's a post and a wing or two wings. If Avenida is bringing back Erika she's their foreign post player, odds are the second one will be guard/small forward.

Really? Look the last years in Euroleague the team of Halcon Avenida. Normally, we have two foreign post. One year ago, Sancho and Lecoe Willingham or two years ago Lecoe and Snow.

I'm sorry about thinking that 95% of previous cases mean that it's a normal practice for teams not to have two posts eating up foreigner roster spots.

Yep, I know that. But I can confirm you, without any doubt, that Halcon Avenida will have two foreign posts, unless they manage to renew Sancho.

There seem to be only a few teams that would be an upgrade for Sancho.
Do you know how long is Torrens under contract with Avenida?

Sadly, I think she will leave the team at the end of the season. She finish her contract this year and she has lots of offers, I hope she can continue but it is going to be difficult...

Sweet. I can't wait to see where all the star players will land during off-season. This free agency beats out the one that WNBA has. Very Happy

Regarding Torrens, if she goes I think Avenida has to look for a foreign wing player. I don't think any Spaniards can replace her.

So if I understand correctly - Milton-Jones remains in Prague, Whalen will not return to Prague next year, Viteckova will play for Ros Casares, Lyttle will play in Russia?

Domínguez to Wisla, I don´t know. Today, in Spanish press, Torrens to Fenerbahce.

Shame, Wright is a much better player than Holt. That would be a downgrade for Lotos.

Schuzwang wrote:Today, in Spanish press, Torrens to Fenerbahce.

That would mean that Jekabsone isn't returning there which is expected. But I'm also wondering would that mean that Taylor isn't coming back anymore even after everything with Taurasi being resolved.

I've heard that Fenerbahce have bid on Alba Torrens and Sancho lyttle. Taurasi and Penny would definitely return back. and Matovic will maybe also play for Fenerbahce next year

Would be a very good foreigner roster for Fener.
Although I'd prefer someone like Sue Bird over Taylor because Penny and Diana are somewhat similar players, Sue would bring skills and abilities to the team that neither Tuncluer nor Vardarli do. But that's just me dreaming, doubt Sue's leaving Russia for Turkey.

Brunson will not continue in the Ros Casares. It's a great player for any top-8 in Europe, even for my team (Euroleasing) we have many problems for the next Euroleague play, to see if it resolves.

Lotos a current player, told me that he had spoken with her and had a firm agreement for next season.

There seem to be rumors that Galatasaray has also a big interest in Torrens.

Although Tina Charles inked a two year contract with Nadezhda before this season, she has already been linked with Ros Casares by some for the next one, that one would probably require a buyout.

And another rumor seems to link Becky Hammon with Spain and Rivas in particular.
